Deep Breathing

The following are just ideas that some members have found to be especially helpful for dealing with the problems encountered in withdrawal.

"Some people find deep, slow breathing helpful in keeping them calm. One deep breath that has helped me has been the 7-11 breath: inhale for 7 seconds, then exhale for 11 seconds, breathing from your abdomen. The various deep-breathing techniques taught in yoga can be quite helpful, too.
