Hydration

The following are just ideas that some members have found to be especially helpful for dealing with the problems encountered in withdrawal.

"It's important to stay well-hydrated (but not over-hydrated) during benzo withdrawal. It's helped me to consistently sip water throughout the day. Juice and sport drinks are loaded with sugar, making them less than optimal during this period, when you're especially susceptible to changes in blood sugar. Herbal teas may not be ideal either -- if your system doesn't like a particular herb, it may react suddenly and unequivocally. Water and extremely diluted fruit juice have best sustained me."
