Sinus Problems

These are descriptions of how individuals experienced various symptoms during withdrawal. While everyone's withdrawal is unique and symptoms will be different for everyone, it may be useful to know what others went through.

All withdrawal symptoms can be caused by things in addition to withdrawal. If a symptom is persistent or you are worried by it, it is always a good idea to get it checked out by your doctor to ensure nothing else is going on.

What I've Felt:

“My nose is often stuffy even though I don’t have a cold. This is particularly noticeable after each taper.” - Anthea

What I've Felt:

"Every night at about 8:00PM my nasal passages would totally clog up so the only way I could breathe was through my month. I thought it was allergies so I went to an allergist with all intentions of getting allergy shots. After finding out that this can be a withdrawal symptom I toughed it out. Approximately 6 months benzo-free it just cleared up." - Cookie
