All data must be read in conjunction with the survey limitations The graph below plots a line for each of the stages in the journey off benzos and shows the percentage of respondents who were able to participate with ease in the measured activity. It shows that before starting benzos respondents rated themselves much more able to participate in all the activities than at any other of the points in the journey. Ninety three percent (93%) were able to self care without a problem and seventy five percent (75%) were able to socialize without a problem. At the worst point in withdrawal, the percentage who said that they were able to participate in the various activity was worse than at any other point in the benzo journey for all the activities. Fifty eight percent (58%) said they could self care with ease and nine percent (9%) said they were able to shop with ease.
The graph below reverses the situation, it plots a line of each of the activities in order to make it easier to see how the percentage able to do an activity with ease changes over the journey. Self care is consistently the easier activity for those withdrawing from benzos to maintain with ease. Working and socializing are the most difficult. |
