All data must be read in conjunction with the survey limitations . The graph below shows the percentage of respondents taking each of the major benzodiazepine drugs at each of the survey dates. Klonopin, Xanax, Ativan and Diazepam remain the four most popular benzodiazepines. There has been a trend towards taking Xanax with 19% of respondents taking it as at 31 December 2009 compared with 15% as at 21 June 2007 and there has been a slight trend away from Diazepam with 8% taking it now compared with 10% at the previous survey. Otherwise percentages remain much the same. The graph below gives a more detailed break down of the benzodiazepines being taken as at 31 December 2009.
